A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Patricia's art project has been wrecked the day before the school's art festival, and she desperately wants to know who's responsible... good thing junior detectives Darcy Daisy and Lester Leaves are on the case!

Daisy Chain is the first in what will hopefully be a series of short visual novels, starring Darcy and Lester as they solve mysteries around their neighbourhood. You'll have to gather evidence and information by talking to witnesses and examining "crime" scenes in order to get to the bottom of things.

I made this for NaNoRenO 2017, and it's my first time making anything in Ren'Py. It's pretty short (about half an hour long?) and pretty linear, though there is some dialogue variation. I hope you like it!

hi, thanks for asking! this game already takes largely from the ace attorney style gameplay that i certainly did not invent myself, so it'd be a bit silly to say you couldn't take inspiration from that too. good luck with your game!

The game is awesome! Congats on you first Ren'Py game :)

Your art and GUI design are very cute, I just loved them! <3 As about storytelling - personally I don't mind it being linear. It's how detective stories work, isn't it? :)

I'm looking forward to your new stories with Darcy and Lester! (I hope there will be more ^-^)

aah thank you for the nice words!! i'm glad you liked it!

i wasn't too worried about the game being as linear as it is, but i figured i'd let people know what to expect anyway. there are probably less linear ways of telling this kinda story that are worth exploring, though. maybe in future installments! (which i'm definitely interested in making at some point)

That's great to hear!
